According to the report by the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction presented at COP25 in Madrid, in December 2019, buildings, housing, and the construction sector are responsible for 39% of all global carbon dioxide emissions worldwide.
A company attentive to Sustainability like Manini Prefabbricati, while operating within the production sector in question, could not help but make its R&D resources and skills available to contribute to “measuring” first, and then countering, the Carbon Footprint impact of industrial products, whether of its own production or not, thus creating the Carbon Footprint Calculator.
Also in this area, Manini Prefabbricati wants to play a distinctive role that is inherent in its history, its values, and its continuously pioneering and visionary approach. Manini technicians have developed software that is able to scientifically “weigh” the CO2 emissions related to the realization of one of our prefabricated buildings in the hosting territory.
We are working on the implementation of urban forestation projects capable of compensating, in whole or in part, the CO2 produced with that absorbed by the new greenery.
Manini Prefabbricati’s partnership with Rete Clima began with the zeroing of CO2 emissions from the site, offset by the purchase of carbon credits to support an international environmental protection project, certified according to the VCS–Verra standard and continues with the adherence to this important reforestation project in Italian territory of forest areas devastated by natural disasters.
Manini Prefabbricati supported in autumn 2022 a reforestation project in the Madonie Park, to support the redevelopment of areas affected by the fires of summer 2021.
