We are in Massarosa (LU), for our valued client VIANOVA SpA, who has once again chosen Manini Service to complete the renovation of their headquarters, which was recently the subject of our seismic upgrade intervention. The work involved renovating the roof with energy efficiency improvements and the installation of a 53.32kWp photovoltaic system to serve the building.
The structure was previously produced by Manini Prefabbricati with Y-section roof tiles interspersed with ecological fiber cement sheets. The complete knowledge of the construction know-how was an advantage in developing a custom design solution that allowed the client to meet the current transmittance values to access the tax deductions provided for the eco-bonus and create a roof capable of supporting a photovoltaic system.
The solution developed by our design team was the answer to a specific client request, which was the cornerstone of the entire commercial negotiation and a binding agreement in the contract: to avoid relocating the equipment present inside the building to carry out the work and stop the usual activity. Therefore, the work organization was designed by sectors: the building was divided into functional zones that could be completely finished within one solar day. With the devised solution, Manini Service was thus able to guarantee the removal of the existing roof and the installation of the new one, fully functional, avoiding work stoppages due to plant relocations.
Sandwich panels, insulating mats, and a light-colored waterproofing layer protected with slate chips were positioned as a new surface on which to arrange the photovoltaic system modules. The roof is fully walkable, equipped with permanent fall protection devices, whose geometric arrangement was chosen, in compliance with all safety requirements prescribed by the Standards, to maximize the power of the photovoltaic system.
The photovoltaic panels were installed on the roof with an innovative aluminum support bracket system, which can be positioned without drilling the roof and the waterproofing layer. This avoids causing tears in the membranes that could compromise their waterproofing over time.
The connection, internally verified at Manini Service, was tested in our laboratories on test benches set up to recreate real assembly situations. The synergy between the research and development and design sectors is the beating heart of our structure that drives Manini Service to develop tailor-made technological solutions for each of our clients who choose us as a partner.
