S2 S.p.A. – Seismic Improvement

S2 S.p.A. has commissioned Manini Service for a seismic improvement intervention in one of its 8 buildings.

The seismic improvement intervention was carried out by Manini Service at one of the 8 buildings of S2 S.p.A., located in Fermignano (PU), where integrated production and design take place.

S2 SPA is a process-oriented furniture manufacturer and high-end interior contractor that meets all production needs of world-leading brands in the residential, automotive, and yacht sectors.

The building subject to the intervention has an area of approximately 4,000 sq m spread over 4 bays and is constructed with a mixed building typology, partly with cast-in-place elements (pillars and infill panels) and partly with prefabricated elements (beams, roof tiles, and parapet panels). The improvement project ensured a jump of two seismic classes for the structure.

The implementation of the intervention took into account the need to operate within structures filled with industrial systems and very delicate production machinery, as well as the presence of large quantities of finished products of high economic value. Work was carried out concurrently with the company’s normal production activities, minimizing any interference.

The work lasted about 3 months, in full compliance with the schedule, which was studied in detail with the client to identify the various intervention areas during the duration of the work and not hinder the company’s production activity.
