Manini Connect: IoT for Connected and Intelligent Prefabricated Buildings is Born
Manini Connect is the new patented self-monitoring system for buildings, capable of increasing the level of safety and efficiency of constructions, both for industrial and civil use. Developed in line with the Industry 4.0 trend and the Internet of Things (IoT), Manini Connect represents the state of the art in terms of safety, prevention, and intelligent management of prefabricated structures.
The Manini Connect building monitoring system is integrated directly into the main prefabricated pillars during their production phases. In this way, the prefabricated elements are immediately ready to transmit data through the use of the cloud. A complex of sensors, integrated into the structure of the prefabricated pillars, allows for the detection of data related to the internal thermo-hygrometric characteristics of the building, as well as variations due to the dynamic stresses to which the construction is subjected.
The data is collected by the transmission box, integrated into the roof of the prefabricated building. In addition to this information coming from inside the structure, environmental data detected by the instrument outside the building is also collected. Climate data such as temperature, rainfall amount, air quality, or wind direction and intensity, as well as information related to the efficiency of third-party instrumentation. Through Manini Connect, it is indeed possible to monitor the performance and efficiency of a photovoltaic system or receive real-time visual information related to the prefabricated roof, interfacing the system with video or photographic acquisition tools.
Manini Connect can be installed not only during new constructions but also during building renovations of existing structures. Furthermore, the system is designed to be scalable and modular. This means that it is possible to place the detection instruments inside multiple prefabricated structural elements, positioned in different areas of the buildings. The more sensors the transmission box has available, the more data can be cross-referenced, making the transmitted and archived reports on a dedicated cloud even more precise.
The Data Control and Processing Center of Manini Prefabbricati SpA processes the data and makes it available to authorized subjects, who can access it easily and quickly through a computer or, even more simply, via a dedicated app available for both tablets and smartphones.
Based on the specific characteristics of the buildings, Manini Connect promptly signals to predefined subjects the detection of information considered anomalous by the Data Control and Processing Center.
Thanks to Manini Connect, it is no longer necessary to carry out high-altitude inspections to establish the safety and efficiency status of buildings, thanks to the sustainable, effective, and definitive monitoring flow proposed by Manini Prefabbricati SpA.
Upon client request, Manini Prefabbricati will also activate a drone intervention service to verify in detail the exact extent of the highlighted issue and a service to restore the optimal conditions of the building.
Manini Connect aims to innovate the sector of building prevention and safety applied to prefabricated buildings. The system is directed not only towards the construction of industrial prefabricated buildings, but also prefabricated structures intended for public use, such as schools, offices, and large shopping centers.
